Fortifying FAVE Balm
The Fortifying Face Balm is one of my favorite products and in my opinion every other facial moisturizer feels either too thick or too greasy after trying this. Smells great, spreads easily without having to use a lot, and is absorbed quickly so I can get on with my day. One of my most recommended products.

I am very impressed with the Face Balm. It absorbs quickly and smells amazing. I use a full pump on my dry skin and it gives me a non-sticky, firm finish. I love this product, from it’s light, herbal scent, to its absorbability, to how it nice it feels on my skin. I normally use it under a moisturizer, but on occasion wear it as a light moisturize by itself. Great product!

Clean product but not soothing
I prefer moisturizers that feel soothing and hydrating. That is not how the fortifying face balm felt to me, unfortunately. It also made me feel like it wasn’t fully hydrating my face so I felt like I needed to use more than should be necessary. Very clean product though!

My holy grail
I love this balm so much! I use it year round for days when I don’t need a lot of moisture (if I’ll be outside in the cold I use Golden Hour.). You do not need to use a lot of product to get good coverage on your face, and it is so light going on, which is important to me as someone with combination skin. I also appreciate how light it is because I live in a hot and humid place, and the balm doesn’t feel like it’s just sitting on my skin all summer. Finally, I love how fresh it smells. I will continue to use this as my daily moisturizer as long as UM makes it.

This is a very handy spray bottle that provides a spritz of very soothing skin tonic. It is not at all greasy and dries quickly, making my skin feel smooth and healthy. The scent is light and very pleasant. Can be used between showers or any time that calls for a refreshing, rejuvenating tonic.

Big winner here. This was recommended by a friend and how i was introduced to the Ursa Major brand. The texture of this face lotion is very unique – to meet it feels like a hybrid between lotion and serum, which I love, because it spreads very easily and fully. There is no shine. I use it morning and before bed.

I’ve been using the Fortifying Face Balm for a couple of weeks now, and my face is pretty happy about it. My skin is calm and smooth; flakes and irritation have gone. At first I was concerned that the balm didn’t feel heavy enough to really moisturize, but that’s the point! Now my skin can breathe, and it doesn’t feel tight or dry — it’s wonderfully comfortable all day. And the scent of the balm is lovely, it comes on a bit strong at first, but I like it, and it disappears as the liquid absorbs into my skin. This is now my go-to moisturizer, and I’m going to try other products to see if they’re as beautifully made and delightfully effective as this one. Thanks, Ursa Major!

Only facial moisturizer I’ve found that really moisturizes with out feeling heavy or greasy. It hasn’t broke me out which is always my initial fear when trying any new product on my face. I like the pump for application I feel that it dispenses the perfect amount of product needed at a time. With Aloe as the first ingredient, it is a great summer product! It is very light weight and thin but hydrating, that being said, it might not be everyones favorite. I did not experience any breakouts or negative reactions will definetly buy again in the warmer months!

I have combination skin, prone to blemishes and I’ve been using this product consistently for almost three months, along with the Fantastic Face Wash, and if anything, my skin texture and blemishes worsened. The consistency of this product is off–very watery and one entire pump is too much even for the face and neck combined. I would not recommend this product.

My husband loves it.
My husband kept putting my thick nighttime/helps you sleep maternity body oil on his nose and then complained it was too “lavendery and oily.” Well, no shit. I got him this moisterizer and he loves it. Smell isn’t strong and is light enough to use whenever. His dry nose no longer has little wrinkle lines. His blemishes diminished. It’s a good, reliable, no fuss product.

I love the smell of this all natural face balm, it soaks right into my skin and keeps it moisturized. I have been using this one for a few weeks and it took my skin some time to get used to , but once it did it worked well. I like it more for a nighttime serum , in the hot months of California it’s too oily for daytime use for me . Very happy with this product !

My go-to summer moisturizer
I’ve discovered that this is my ideal summer moisturizer. I purchased a bottle last September, and it felt great on my skin. But by mid-October, it was becoming clear that it just wasn’t moisturizing enough for the dry, fall weather we were having. I switched to Ursa Major’s Golden Hour for the winter months, and that kept my skin nice and plump through the dryest winter days. I can’t wait to break open my Fortifying Face Balm for summer again!

So I love love love this balm, it doesn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts or rashes on my face… however I feel like I use triple the amount I should be using to feel hydrated… I go through the .5 ounce bottle in only a week! I wish I could have more product for the price, but you can tell the quality is definitely there.

Dried out my skin
I have super dry skin, and while I know this is light and shouldn’t be used alone, it was bad for me even when layered over oils and other balms. Weirdly, it actually dried up my skin and absorbed the face oil I had already put on, making my skin dryer and worse than not having anything on it at all. It was very strange. I also tested it over a different balm, using it as a first layer, etc, same effect–it was like I had put Purell on my skin–totally drying it out. I gave it 2 stars bc the ingredients are great and the brand is solid, so for the right person this could be good. Definitely not for those with very dry skin, even when using with other products.

Good moisturizer
I’m currently using the sample size of this product. I like the smell and smoothness of it, but at times my skin will feel a little sticky after application. After a couple minutes the stickiness goes away. It hydrates my skin really well though, so I can see myself using it again. If it had SPF in it, that would make it a better daytime product.

I bought a sample kit first before buying the regular bottle and I love this face balm! It’s different than any other moisturizer I’ve owned and I think that’s why they call it face “balm”. It’s got almost a sticky texture when you apply to your skin but not like really sticky, it’s just not like greasy or oily like a lot of other lotions can be sometimes. I really love the smell for one, I always look forward to my skin routine now. As for the moisturizing part, I think it’s a great product. Especially for the morning! I think I could find a night time moisturizer that’s a little creamier or thicker for some extra TLC during sleep. But this is absolutely perfect for me because during the day, my makeup goes over nicely since the balm just soaks entirely into my skin. Moisturizing without being oily!
All moisturizers I’ve used in the past have made my skin so oily and greasy until this one! It nourishes my skin and hydrates it, without making my skin one bit oily. It absorbs into my skin and makes it look amazing!

I thought I would use this during the day, but I actually prefer Ursa’s Golden Hour Recovery Cream both day and night. My skin tends to be dry, so the cream is not too heavy.

I love this balm. It’s perfect for the summer when I don’t need quite as much moisture during the day time. I apply this in the morning only after my toner and I feel moisturized throughout the day without getting too oily. A nice intro to clean beauty
I bought this for my husband to begin switching out his conventional products and also to add a moisturizer to his daily routine- at 35, I decided it was time he started taking better care of his skin! A bar of soap and no moistrizing just won’t cut it for much longer! He loves how quickly this absorbs and how soft his face feels. The scent is also wonderful. I have used this as well and find it wonderful and lightweight- great for daytime use or during the summer when you need something light.

Was first given a sample at a trade show and I was hooked. I’ve been using this in my daily skin regime for years! Lightweight and a fresh clean scent. I love the travel size to fit in my small medicine cabinet and take with me as I travel often. Pro tip: mix 2 pumps of the face balm with 3 drops of Indie Lee Squalane Oil.

My dad is a very no-nonsense guy and is totally happy using whatever is in the bargain bin at the drugstore. I gave him the travel size of this face balm along with a few other Follain goodies for Father’s Day and this was a standout. It’s lightweight and smells nice so, as a long time hater of lotion, he can use this every day with no complaint. He even asked for the full-size before finishing the small bottle because he liked it so much.
