Remove candle from cardboard packaging, trim the wick to ⅛ of an inch and light.
Hints: To make your candle last longer, always keep the wick trimmed to ⅛ of an inch.

Perfect Clean Candle!
After learning about the VOCs many candles on the market release, I was motivated to find a lovely clean, burning candle. Follain’s No. 1 candle has a light but pleasant scent that isn’t too overpowering and acts as a charming background accent. The overall look of the candle is immaculate and aesthetic. I love my candle and will be buying another one. My only tip is to trim the wick each time, so your candle does not smoke.

No smell when burning
I was really excited to try this candle based on the reviews, but am totally disappointed in this purchase. I normally prefer a natural, lighter scent, but this doesn’t seem to have any scent at all — like zero. I even tried moving it to the bathroom, which is a smaller space, and after about 2 hours of burn time, I only smell a trace of burning smoke. It also doesn’t seem like it burns the cleanest and leaves a pretty dark trail of smoke when you blow it out. Major miss for me.

Nice and Light Scent
I am very sensitive and picky when it comes to scented things. I wanted a soft and relaxing candle to burn and this is perfect. When I read the other reviews saying the scent was very subtle I thought, PERFECT! It is a nice, light lavender scent that is very calming. The packaging is beautiful too. My only complaint is that after burning the glass holder is starting to turn black from the wick.

I was so happy to get this candle. It might just be my new favorite scent. It has a very fresh and clean smell. It was packaged so beautifully and I also received a free mascara. Sad there is no longer a store in Dallas. Maybe there will be another one day.

Soft and Soothing
Lovely gentle scent! This candle also burns evenly and has a nice glow in the glass jar. i would definitely repurchase and also recommend this candle to anyone who is sensitive to strong/overpowering scents. I suffer from really bad migraines and can be sensitive to strong smells during a migraine. I was able to still use this candle and it was very soothing.

Lightly scented
I bought it because I love candles and want only non-toxic ones in my space. And I really do love lavender, bergamot, sandalwood, and vanilla, so the blend of smells is a good one. I would say its a bit too lightly scented, as I am burning a candle for the ambiance AND the smell, hoping to give my space a boost in all the ways, not just have a tiny flame in a room. Ha! So, if you’re wanting a candle that has a light scent that carries through a space (even a small space), this isn’t it. If you’re going to light it at your desk while you’re working or reading/being near it? I think you’ll smell it. Not a bad candle, just a candle with the perk of it being non-toxic. 🙂

Disappointing
I’ve been burning this candle for about 2 weeks now and unfortunately would not recommend. It smells great on a cold sniff, very spa vibes but when burning I cannot smell anything. I moved it from my living room to the bathroom as I figured the smaller space might help but I can’t even smell it while it burns in the bathroom. I love the way the jar looks but definitely would pass on this one.

This candle is the perfect one to have for a nice relaxing day lounging or just to have. The scent is really clean and not over powering. Great gift to give for the holidays or birthdays.

Disappointed
I purchased this candle because of the prior reviews and expected the candle fragrance to spread when lit. Unfortunately after burning three times still no fragrance. When un-lit there’s a soft woodsie smell. When lit it just smells like burning wax with black smoke. I do not recommend this product.
One last thing… I submitted a review already and it was never posted. Seems like only the positive reviews make it through and I find that misleading. -
Maybe I just got a bad one?
I purchased this candle and was excited to smell the fragrance. Given reviews I’ve read, it seemed like this was a high quality candle. When you smell the candle unlit it smells smooth and woodsie. My expectation was that my living room would be filled with the same relaxing smell. I’ve burned it three times and there’s no fragrance other than burning wax and when I snuff it out, lots of black smoke.
I have to think I either received a bad candle from the batch or the other reviews are not real. There’s no way what I have is relaxing or delightful. It’s more like an expensive chunk of wax. -
Should probably buy more
I purchased this after my favoirte clean/sustainable/ethically-focused blogger raved about it. I have been moving it from room to room daily. I love the scent -not too strong and just the right amount of “clean.” I should probably start buying more for every room so the one I have now doesn’t get jet lagged from traveling around so much.
