- Exfoliating facial tool
- Handmade in Marrakesh, Morocco
- Suitable for all skin types
Get more out of your cleaning ritual with Mihakka, a traditional exfoliating tool hailing from Marrakech, Morroco. Each handcrafted Mihakka features a terracotta base covered with woven organic cotton, whose nubby texture aids in exfoliation while cleansing. Use it with Dehiya’s Alia beldi cleanser for an authentic African skincare ritual.
Wet the flat surface of the Mihakka then apply cleanser of your choice. Holding the tool flat against the face, cleanse in circular motions, applying light pressure for the desired exfoliation. After use, rinse Mihakka thoroughly and lay on its side with the flat surface facing upwards to dry. Sanitize 1–2 times a month by boiling it on a simmer for 90 seconds.
After your Mihakka begins to unravel, use the interior clay piece as a food scrubber.

Gentle and beautiful
It sounds silly, but when I first received it, I was unsure about using this tool. It’s very pretty and I didn’t want to mess it up. I was also worried it would be harsh on my sensitive skin, but I was incorrect. It’s perfect for exfoliating my flaky winter skin gently. I laugh when I think about this simple, elegant tool vs the Clarisonic I used many moons ago. It’s a great addition to a soothing, relaxing skincare ritual.
